Welcome to Haliace. By accessing our platform and using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Haliace.
1. Service description
Haliace is a community platform that allows users to:
- Rate and review manhwa and manhua
- Create and share custom lists of works
- Comment and interact with the community
- Discover new works through rankings and recommendations
- Track their reading progress
Haliace reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
2. Eligibility and account creation
To use Haliace, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old (or the legal minimum age in your country)
- Provide accurate and complete information when signing up
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Be responsible for all activity carried out from your account
- Maintain only one active account
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Haliace cannot be held liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
3. Rules of conduct
By using Haliace, you formally agree not to:
3.1 Prohibited content
- Post hateful, discriminatory, racist, sexist, or offensive content
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or target specific users
- Post sexual content involving minors
- Share other users' personal information without their consent (doxing)
- Incite violence or illegal activity
- Post defamatory content or content harmful to others' reputation
3.2 Prohibited technical behavior
- Attempt to hack, compromise, or test the platform's security
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools without written authorization
- Scrape or bulk-extract data from the platform
- Bypass security measures or access restrictions
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any malicious code
- Intentionally overload our servers (DDoS attacks)
3.3 Prohibited commercial behavior
- Post spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content
- Impersonate Haliace, our team, or other users
- Sell or transfer your account to a third party
- Artificially manipulate scores and rankings
4. User content
4.1 Ownership and license
You retain intellectual property ownership of any content you post on Haliace. By posting content, you grant Haliace a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, distribute, and adapt that content as part of operating the platform.
4.2 Content responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Haliace is not responsible for user-generated content but reserves the right to moderate it.
4.3 Reporting
If you notice content that violates these terms, you can report it using the reporting tools available on the platform. We commit to reviewing reports within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Haliace offers free features and may offer paid premium features. In the case of a subscription:
- Pricing is clearly displayed before any purchase
- Payments are processed by secure providers
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings
- No refunds are provided for already-billed periods, except where legally required

6. Intellectual property
6.1 Haliace's ownership
The design, source code, logos, interfaces, text, and all graphic elements of Haliace are the exclusive property of Haliace and are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction without written authorization is prohibited.
6.2 Third-party works
Covers, titles, synopses, and information related to the manhwa and manhua referenced on the platform are the property of their respective authors, artists, and publishers. Their use on Haliace is strictly informational and non-commercial. If you hold rights and wish to have content removed, please contact us.
7. Moderation and sanctions
Haliace reserves the right to take the following measures in the event of a violation of these terms:

8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law:
- Haliace is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind
- We do not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted availability of the service
- We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or indirect damages
- Ratings and reviews published are those of users and do not reflect Haliace's position
- We are not responsible for external links our platform may point to
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
Haliace strives to comply with the laws and regulations applicable in the countries where its users reside. In the event of a dispute, we favor amicable resolution. These terms are governed by generally recognized principles of international e-commerce law. For European users, applicable European law provisions (including GDPR, the E-Commerce Directive) prevail over any conflicting provision of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified to signed-in users by email or in-app notification at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after this period constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you disagree with the new terms, you may delete your account before they take effect.
11. International compliance
Haliace is accessible worldwide and strives to comply with applicable regulations in each country. By using the service, you acknowledge that you are responsible for complying with the local laws of your country of residence.

European users benefit from GDPR protections. In case of conflict between these terms and applicable European law, the European provisions prevail.
🇺🇸 United States
U.S. users benefit from protections under applicable state laws (CCPA for California, etc.). We comply with required notice and transparency obligations.
🌍 Other countries
We comply with local laws to the extent possible. If a provision of these terms is invalid in your country, the remaining provisions remain applicable.
12. Dispute resolution
In the event of a dispute relating to these terms, we favor amicable resolution. The process is as follows:
